Non-local travelers From Interstate 81 South take Exit 109, turn right Route 177 (Tyler Avenue); from Interstate 81 North, take Exit 109, turn left, Route 177 (Tyler Avenue) and proceed approximately five miles to Route 11 (Main Street - Radford). Turn left onto Route 11 South and follow Route 11 through downtown Radford and across Memorial Bridge (New River). After you cross Memorial Bridge you will see the RU West on your left. From Route 11 turn left onto University Park Drive (second left after crossing the bridge) and follow the signs to Building One. Visitor parking is provided in front of the Building and a building directory is located in the main foyer.

Christiansburg area - Route 11 South through Radford and following directions above
Pulaski/Dublin area - Route 11 North to Fairlawn. RU West is on the right just before Memorial Bridge
Blacksburg - Either Route 114 from Route 460 to Fairlawn (left onto Route 11 North) or Prices Fork Road to Route 114 to Fairlawn and then Left onto Route 11 North

Roanoke Regional Airport (ROA) is the nearest major airport serving the New River Valley Region. ROA is approximately forty miles from Radford. Rental cars are available at the airport. From the airport to Radford take Interstate 581-North to Interstate 81-South and follow the directions above for non-local travelers. Advance reservations for limousine service to and from the airport may be made by calling Blacksburg Limousine Service at (540) 951-3973.
Other Regional Airports
Several other airports are within driving distance of RU West. Charlotte-Douglas International Airport is two-and-a-half hours away in Charlotte, N.C., and Richmond International Airport is three-and-a-half hours away in Richmond, Va. Dulles International Airport in Northern Virginia and Reagan Washington National Airport in Washington, D.C are four to four-and-a-half hours away.
